Year 5 at the Royal Observatory
Year 5 have been discovering the wonders of the universe at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. Their day began by watching a demonstration of how the universe came to be and everything that can be found in our solar system- from the planets to galaxies colliding.
They then undertook a workshop explaining how shadows are formed and how we can use these to tell the time. The class made their own sundials and tested these to see how they would work in different parts of the world.
