Year 3W World Book Day Celebrations: Book Tasting

Year 3 Walsingham spent the afternoon of World Book Day, on the 3rd March 2022, having a book tasting event in the classroom. Books from our classroom library were spread out and the children were able to read a range of genres and text types. They explored the blurbs and snippets of books to see if they wanted to carry on reading and what their interests were as readers. To celebrate the special day and as a reward for Year 3W’s brilliant behaviour so far this year, their book tasting was accompanied by some specially-made hot chocolates and biscuits!
After the delicious book tasting, Year 3W did some fantastic paired reading with Reception Walsingham.
