St. Joachim's pilgrimage to Rome
This week, over 20 of our year 5s spent 5 days in Rome on a special pilgrimage, joined by St. Edward’s and St. Michael’s primary schools. During their pilgrimage, the pupils visited the Vatican, shared Mass with thousands of other pilgrims, had the wonderful privilege of seeing Pope Francis, and visited many of the Holy Sites and grounds in Rome; including the tomb of St. Peter. The children also had a very exciting day exploring the ancient city of Pompeii, and seeing what remained after the infamous volcanic eruption.
