Holy Communion

For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world - John 6:33

On Saturday the 14th of May a group of children from St Joachim’s made their First Holy Communion at St Anne’s. The service was the culmination of months of preparation as the children received Holy Communion for the very first time. They attended first Holy Communion classes for weeks to prepare for the event. They learnt the importance of the sacrament of holy communion and transubstantiation and living out the values of our Catholic Faith.

The service was blessed with beautiful weather, excellent reading and a wonderful performance from the school choir, supported by Mrs Curran. The children looked amazing in their suits and dresses. They were shown lots of love and support by their families, staff members and the Parish Community.

We are very proud of them all and looking forward to watching them continue to grow in their faith.
