All Saints Day Mass

Today we celebrated All Saints Day Mass. The feast of all Saints is one of the great feasts of the Christian year. The word ‘saints’ It was used by members of the early Christian Church to celebrate the lives of holy men and women who lived before us. Saint is the same as the word ‘holy’ which is a quality of God. Holiness is one of the ways in which human beings can grow into the image and likeness of God. The mass was offered for the Anniversary of Stuart James a former governor here at St Joachim’s. This was also the first time this year that the choir led the singing throughout Mass.
