First Holy Communion

This week we celebrated the Pupils at St Joachim's who are making their First Holy Communion. Part of the process of preparing for their First Holy Communion is for them to make the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Reconciliation is the ceremony undertaken by those wishing to receive communion but who have not yet renounced their recognised sins. It is also known as the Sacrament of Penance. The children reflected on what they were sorry for and thought about how they can become closer to God.
